Introducing

the Hillenbrandt Scholarship

The Hillenbrandt Scholarship was established through a bequest that the Hillenbrandt Family left for the church in 2001.

The Hillenbrandt Scholarship Fund, named for Charles and Caroline Hillenbrandt, was established with an allocation of $10,000 from the Hillenbrant Estate. Its purpose is to award merit scholarships ($250.00) to members of Good Shepherd enrolled in post-secondary education programs through a yearly application process.

Contributions from the congregational members over the years have prevented this fund from being depleted. The Hillenbrandt Scholarship Fund welcomes donations from any member or friend of the congregation, their estate, or sources at any time. Traditionally an ice cream social was held in the fall to help raise funds, but since 2020 ice cream socials have not happened due to Covid. The funds received in 2022 were from individual congregation members totaling $231.
