There is only one Lenten service every Wednesday in the Albany area. ALT(All Lutherans Together) which will rotate through each church

Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service, World Day of Prayer, and other ecumenical services are held with other members of the North Colonie Council of Churches. Albany area churches participating in the ALT (All Lutherans Together):

The four ELCA churches in the Albany Area (Good Shepherd, First Lutheran Church, Saint Johns, and Holy Spirit) will share in Wednesday Lenten worship. We have a rich calendar of saints in the Lutheran tradition—Christians from every age who have pointed to Christ in their living and dying. In remembering these Christians who have gone before, we find inspiration for our Christian journey.

Each week we gather for a simple meal at 6:00 pm followed by prayer and singing with the saints at 6:45 pm. We gather on Zoom and in person. Each pastor will lead one service in this order:

  • February 25-TBD
  • March 18-TBD
  • March 4-TBD
  • March 25-TBD
  • March 11-TBD
