There is only one Lenten service every Wednesday in the Albany area Cluster which will rotate through each church

Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service, World Day of Prayer, and other ecumenical services are held with other members of the North Colonie Council of Churches. Albany area churches participating in the Lutheran cluster of churches:

The four ELCA churches in the Albany Area (Good Shepherd, First Lutheran Church, Saint Johns, and Holy Spirit) will share in Wednesday Lenten worship. We have a rich calendar of saints in the Lutheran tradition—Christians from every age who have pointed to Christ in their living and dying. In remembering these Christians who have gone before, we find inspiration for our Christian journey.

Each week we gather for a simple meal at 6:00 pm followed by prayer and singing with the saints at 6:45 pm. We gather on Zoom and in person. Each pastor will lead one service in this order:

  • February 21st–  St. John’s
  • March 6th – St. John’s
  • February 28th – First Lutheran
  • March 13th– Holy Spirit
  • March 20th – Good Shepherd
